Churches & Synagogues Safety and Health Programs
Safety is good business – especially for Churches and Synagogues. An effective safety and health program can save $4 to $6 for every $1 invested. It’s the right thing to do, and doing it right pays off in lower costs, increased productivity, and higher employee morale.
Care 1st Training Group On-Site First Aid Service not only delivers first aid training to your religious institution, but also helps you:
As an employer, you have a duty to protect your workers from injury and illness on the job. Protecting workers also makes good business sense. Accidents and injuries are more expensive than many in a Church realize. Costs mount up quickly. But substantial savings in workers’ compensation and lost workdays are possible when injuries and illnesses decline.
Benefits of First Aid and Safety at Your Place of WorshipSafety is good business – especially for religious institutions. Here are some of the many benefits:
OSHA’s first aid training standards at 29 CFR 1910.151 and 1926.50(c) generally apply throughout the industries that they cover. Other standards which apply to certain specific hazards or industries make employee first aid training mandatory, and reliance on outside emergency responders is not an allowable alternative. For example, see 29 CFR 1910. 266(i)(7) (mandatory first aid training for logging employees), and 29 CFR 1910.269(b) (requiring persons trained in first aid at work locations in the electric power industry).
Custom Programs for the Way You WorkEach safety and health program should be tailored to fit the church or synagogue, to blend with its unique operations and culture, and to help employers maintain a system that continually addresses workplace hazards. There are five elements that every effective program should have: management leadership and employee participation, workplace analysis, hazard prevention and control, safety and health training and education, and program evaluation. FASTEX can make OSHA compliance hassle-free for churches and synagogues.
